Who would have possibly known that our referral to Dr. Pesner by a series of extremely well-respected physicians and educators approximately 5 years ago due to a “series of unfortunate events” would lead to my son engaging in what we have coined as “brain games” and subsequently would turn out to truly be the bright light at the end of the... long, dark, lonely and uncomfortable... tunnel” and lead to such great progress in my son’s regulation, development, communication and learning? My son has severe autism and had previously been even more severely misunderstood by all, and was stagnating in his development and learning. However, with the elegance and precision of a symphony orchestra, Dr. Pesner rapidly processed the massive amount of information that I presented to him about this medical issue of my son that had accumulated for over a decade following which he diagnosed S.A.D and recommended a winter-time S.A.D lamp for my son and included specific and wry helpful directions for use. I immediately ordered this lamp on Amazon and implemented it upon arrived the next day. And the results were astounding as my son’s December regressions has not happened again during the past 5 years since meeting Dr. Pesner.

But the dramatic “icing on the cake” is how Dr. Pesner’s clinical acumen which extends to a deep understanding of neurobiology has brought my son from a state of being “predictably unpredictable”, dysregulated, and nonverbal to a sustained regulated state which has allowed him to be verbal, happy, playful and engaged following his neurofeedback sessions twice a week with Dr. Pesner and his staff.

The implementation of the combination of clinical expertise, wisdom, compassion, dedication and commitment demonstrated by Dr. Pesner and his staff translated into outstanding progress, even beyond expectations. for my precious son. It is Dr. Pesner who “cracked the code” and tapped into my son’s previously “untapped potential” and set my son free. The palpable positive changes in my son has been detected and positively commented on in an unsolicited manner by all including educators, therapists and friends. But most importantly, Dr. Pesner’s interventions has exponentially improved every aspect of my son’s daily being including his quality of his life, happiness, self-esteem and self-worth; and I continue to see such progress every day in an augmented fashion.
